KO&L Announces Final Approval of $4.5 million Cumberland County Strip Search Settlement.
On November 25, 2008, United States District Court Judge Renee Marie Bumb (United States District Court for the District of New Jersey) gave final approval to the $4.5 million dollar class action settlement on behalf of individuals illegally strip-searched by Cumberland County. On a class member basis, this is one of the largest recoveries in a strip search class action. KO&L was one of the lead counsel in this matter.
