KO&L LLP OBTAINS FINAL APPROVAL OF $10.5 MILLION CLASS ACTION SETTLEMENT OF IN RE EATON VANCE CORPORATION SECURITIES LITIGATION
The settlement of this class action reached by KO&L and its co-lead counsel on the eve of trial last Fall was approved by the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts on April 26, 2006. The settlement provides for the payment on behalf of defendants of $10.5 million and up to $200,000 in notice and settlement administration costs. In order to be eligible to share in the settlement proceeds, Class members had to submit a Claim Information Form by May 31, 2006, unless extended by the Court. We expect the settlement proceeds to be distributed to eligible claimants early next year.
